Data Science Lab, University of Bern
Start date: immediately or by arrangement.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Support Assistant to join our team. As a Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing data science assistance to the Data Science Lab team and supporting the organization of events. This is a part-time position, requiring approximately 10-30% of your time commitment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data cleaning, preprocessing, and analysis.
• Contribute to the documentation and organization of data science projects.
• Help in the development and implementation of data science models and algorithms.
• Contribute to the support of the Data Science Lab customer groups.
• Provide support to the data science team in various tasks and projects.
• Assist in organizing events, including logistics, scheduling, and communication with attendees.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree.
• Enrollment as a student at the University of Bern (must) .
• Passion for data science and a desire to continuously learn and grow in the field.
• Prior programming experience, preferably in Python or R.
• Basic understanding of statistics is a plus.
• Good time management skills with keen attention to detail.
